Spoiler On Participants For WWE Women’s Speed Title Tournament

The field is now set for the tournament to determine the next challenger for the WWE Women’s Speed Championship. The four competitors vying for the opportunity are Candice LeRae, Faby Apache, Lainey Reid, and Xia Brookside, with the winner earning a title match against Sol Ruca at NXT No Mercy, according to Cory Hays.

The tournament will feature a unique mix of talent from across the wrestling world. The participants will represent Monday Night RAW, Friday Night SmackDown, NXT, TNA, and AAA, making it a significant cross-promotional event.

The tournament final is scheduled to take place on the September 2nd episode of NXT. The winner will then challenge Sol Ruca for the title at NXT No Mercy, which is set for Saturday, September 27, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The upcoming title defense at No Mercy solidifies the championship’s new official home within WWE. During NXT Heatwave on August 24, General Manager Ava announced that both the Men’s and Women’s Speed Championships would be integrated into the NXT brand. This move resolved the titles’ uncertain status after the WWE Speed show on X stopped airing new episodes on July 9.

For Sol Ruca, the No Mercy title defense will be for one of her two championships, as she also holds the NXT Women’s North American Championship. While the path is now clear for the women’s division, specific plans for the Men’s Speed Champion, El Grande Americano, have not yet been announced.
