Blake Monroe’s undefeated pinfall record in WWE has been broken. The former AEW star, now known as Blake Monroe, suffered her first pinfall loss on the August 26 episode of NXT, falling to Kelani Jordan. The deciding moment came when a distraction from Jordynne Grace allowed Jordan to secure the three-count.
The loss represents a dramatic turn of fortune for Monroe, occurring just two days after she defeated Grace in a grudge match at Heatwave. That bout marked Monroe’s first-ever singles match on a premium live event and was the culmination of a bitter, personal feud.
Grace’s interference is direct retaliation for Monroe’s heel turn at NXT Evolution. During Grace’s NXT Women’s Championship match against Jacy Jayne, Monroe, who was in Grace’s corner, struck her with the title belt behind the referee’s back. This act of betrayal cost Grace the championship and ignited their intense rivalry.
The conflict escalated significantly in the buildup to their Heatwave encounter. Monroe attacked Grace with a DDT onto a steel chair on the July 22 edition of NXT. Grace later answered by causing Monroe to lose a match by count-out on August 5, which directly led to their match being scheduled.
While Kelani Jordan had previously secured a count-out victory over Monroe, this is the first time Monroe has been pinned on NXT. The loss came within her first six matches since debuting with the promotion in June.
