WWE Announces Major Partnership With Top French Soccer Club Ahead Of Clash In Paris

Just days before its major premium live event in France, WWE has announced a long-term strategic partnership with the French soccer team, Paris Saint-Germain. The collaboration was confirmed by Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, who outlined the scope of the deal.

The agreement between the two brands will feature the development of original content, exclusive merchandise and retail collaborations, and various fan engagement initiatives. It also aims to create community-focused programs and facilitate unique interactions between PSG players and WWE Superstars.

The partnership aligns WWE with one of the most successful clubs in world soccer. PSG are the reigning European Champions, having defeated Inter Milan in May to cap off a season where they also won the Trophée des Champions, Coupe de France, and their fourth straight French league title. Their momentum has carried into the new season with a European Super Cup victory and an undefeated record in domestic league play.

This collaboration comes as WWE prepares for Clash in Paris, scheduled for Sunday, August 31, at the Paris La Défense Arena. The event marks the company’s first-ever premium live event in the Paris metropolitan area. As of August 27, five matches have been confirmed for the card:

  • John Cena vs. Logan Paul
  • World Heavyweight Championship: Seth Rollins (c) vs. CM Punk vs. Jey Uso vs. LA Knight in a fatal four-way match
  • Roman Reigns vs. Bronson Reed
  • Sheamus vs. Rusev
  • Women’s Intercontinental Championship: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Nikki Bella

The bout between John Cena and Logan Paul is a notable part of Cena’s 2025 farewell tour and will be his first time wrestling in front of a French audience. The build toward the fatal four-way for the World Heavyweight Championship intensified on the August 25 episode of Raw, where all four competitors were involved in a large brawl. That same night featured a direct confrontation between Roman Reigns and Bronson Reed, offering a preview of their upcoming singles match.
