Current free agent Saraya praised Stephanie Vaquer's in-ring talent amid the cancellation of Vaquer's championship match at Clash in Paris.

Saraya Calls Stephanie Vaquer “One of the Best Wrestlers in the World”

Free agent Saraya, formerly known as Paige in WWE, has publicly lauded Stephanie Vaquer as one of the world’s elite performers. Responding to a fan on social media, Saraya shared her high opinion of the RAW superstar.

“One of the best wrestlers in the world!! And a sweetheart,” Saraya wrote.

This endorsement comes as Vaquer navigates a major shift in her career trajectory. Her scheduled Women’s World Championship match at Clash in Paris was officially canceled on the August 25 episode of Monday Night RAW.

The cancellation was a direct result of then-champion Naomi announcing her pregnancy on August 18 and relinquishing the title. This development made the planned title defense against Vaquer impossible.

During a backstage segment on Raw, General Manager Adam Pearce confirmed to Vaquer that while the match in Paris is off, her championship opportunity is not. Pearce stated he would finalize a new opponent and date, with an announcement expected on the following week’s show.

Vaquer earned her title shot by winning a 20-woman battle royal at Evolution on July 13, the same night Naomi successfully cashed in her Money in the Bank contract to become champion.

Following the cancellation, Vaquer addressed the situation on social media, expressing her resolve to capture the title. “It doesn’t matter where, it doesn’t matter who…it doesn’t matter how much it costs, I will make it happen and I will be champion,” she posted on August 26, adding, “The time has come for the WWE Championship to belong to a Latin woman.”

With Vaquer’s match removed from the card, WWE announced that Becky Lynch will now defend her Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Nikki Bella at Clash in Paris.
