The challenge was laid down after a massive brawl erupted between the four men in Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena. The segment began with Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler, alongside Stokely Hathaway, demanding that referee Paul Turner reverse their controversial championship loss from Forbidden Door.
As FTR continued to pressure the official, Adam Copeland’s music hit, drawing their attention to the entrance ramp. The distraction allowed Christian Cage to ambush the group from behind, hitting his “Killswitch” on Hathaway and igniting the chaotic scene.
After security and officials struggled to restore order, Cage grabbed a microphone. He declared it was time to solve Copeland’s “problem” with FTR before making inflammatory remarks about the fathers of both Harwood and Wheeler.
Copeland then made the match official, concluding the segment with a direct message for his upcoming opponents. “It’s time that I get my pound of flesh!” Copeland declared.
The match in Toronto marks a significant reunion for the Canadian duo, who teamed for the first time in 14 years at the recent Forbidden Door. AEW All Out is scheduled to go head-to-head with the debut of WWE WrestlePalooza, which will air on ESPN.
