Enzo Amore, who was fired from WWE in 2018, claims he has since reconciled with company executive Triple H. In a recent appearance on Julian Dorey’s podcast, the controversial former Cruiserweight Champion also stated that a high-level employee once suggested a return to the promotion was possible.

Amore detailed his current standing with WWE’s chief content officer, confirming he had repaired their past differences.

“It’s weird, I don’t know, man… Like I said, I haven’t called them but I have a good relationship with… At least I mended the bridge, at least with the company, with the guy who runs the company, Triple H,” Amore said.

This marks a significant development given the circumstances surrounding his departure. WWE terminated Amore’s contract on January 23, 2018, the day after publicly suspending him. The company’s action followed the emergence of sexual assault allegations from an incident in October 2017, which Amore had failed to disclose to officials despite being aware of an active police investigation.

The Phoenix Police Department later closed its investigation in May 2018, citing insufficient evidence, and no charges were ever filed against Amore. In a statement at the time, Amore denied the accusations and claimed he only learned of the investigation when it became public.

Even before his firing, Amore was a polarizing figure backstage. He reportedly garnered significant heat for what was described as unprofessional behavior, leading to him being given a separate locker room and at one point being removed from company transportation.

The internal friction also extended to his long-time tag team partner, Big Cass. In an interview from earlier this month, Amore confirmed they had a major falling out around the time of his WWE exit and have not seen each other in years, noting the professional pressures of a tag team ultimately destroyed their relationship.

While discussing a potential WWE comeback, Amore has also recently established a firm stance on his current independent career. During a June 2025 interview, he declared that his rule was he would not “put a single person over in 2025,” either in a match or on the microphone.
