In an unexpected move, Ring of Honor is broadcasting its Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view live and for free on YouTube after significant technical issues plagued the HonorClub streaming service tonight, August 29. The announcement was made by AEW and ROH President Tony Khan in response to the widespread service disruptions.
The problems began during the event, held at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, as numerous fans reported being unable to watch the stream. The issues were attributed to the streaming provider, Brightcove, and specifically impacted users on the Chrome and Firefox web browsers. According to reports, viewers using the ROH App or the Safari browser were not affected. With Brightcove providing no timeframe for a fix, the decision was made to shift the entire broadcast to a public platform.
As compensation for the failure, Khan also announced that all current HonorClub subscribers will receive a one-month credit for the service.
The 2025 edition of Death Before Dishonor is the 22nd installment of the historic event and features a card with wrestlers from both ROH and its sister promotion, AEW. The vacancies for both the ROH World Tag Team and Six-Man Tag Team Championships were caused by an upcoming knee surgery for Dustin Rhodes.
The key matches scheduled for the show include:
- ROH World Championship: Bandido (c) vs. Hechicero
- ROH Women’s World Championship: Athena (c) vs. Mina Shirakawa
- Fight Without Honor: QT Marshall vs. Paul Walter Hauser
- ROH Pure Championship: Lee Moriarty (c) vs. Xelhua
- Vacant ROH World Tag Team Championships: Sammy Guevara & a mystery partner vs. The Outrunners (Turbo Floyd & Truth Magnum)
- Vacant ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championships: The Sons of Texas (Marshall Von Erich, Ross Von Erich & Sammy Guevara) vs. Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor, Carlie Bravo & Shawn Dean)
