With WWE’s Clash in Paris just a day away, a first glimpse of the event’s stage design has surfaced. A recording from inside the Paris La Défense Arena on Saturday morning revealed the set under construction, showcasing a large Eiffel Tower as a central part of the entrance way for the Premium Live Event.
The show, which will take place on Sunday, August 31, is set to feature a stacked card of WWE’s top talent.
In the main event, Seth Rollins will defend his World Heavyweight Championship in a perilous fatal four-way match against CM Punk, LA Knight, and Jey Uso. The match was made official by Adam Pearce after Rollins interfered in a tag team match involving Punk and Knight. This contest brings multiple rivalries to a head, stemming from Rollins cashing in his Money in the Bank contract on a newly-crowned CM Punk at SummerSlam and a contentious history with LA Knight that previously involved a faked knee injury.
A generational clash is scheduled between John Cena and Logan Paul as part of Cena’s ongoing farewell tour. The feud escalated on SmackDown after SummerSlam when Paul delivered a low blow to Cena during a tag match. In the weeks since, Cena has labeled Paul a “parasite that is leeching off the pro wrestling business,” with both men leaving each other laid out on the August 22 episode of SmackDown.
Roman Reigns is also set to compete in his first singles match since January 6, 2025, when he will face Bronson Reed. Reed is known as an enforcer for Seth Rollins’ faction, The Vision. Reigns’ last one-on-one encounter was against Solo Sikoa during WWE’s debut on Netflix earlier this year.
The card will also feature the culmination of an intense rivalry between former allies Sheamus and Rusev, who will battle in a no-disqualification “Good Ol’ Fashioned Donnybrook.” The two have been brawling throughout the arena for weeks leading up to the bout.
In a cross-generational title defense, Becky Lynch will put her WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship on the line against WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella. The rivalry ignited on the August 4 episode of Raw when Lynch delivered a sucker punch to Bella. This match was added to the card after a planned Women’s World Championship defense by Naomi was canceled following her pregnancy announcement and subsequent relinquishing of the title.
The WWE Tag Team Championships will be defended as The Wyatt Sicks’ Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis take on former champions The Street Profits. Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins earned their rematch by defeating The Miz and Carmelo Hayes to become the number one contenders after losing the titles to Gacy and Lumis on a SmackDown episode in July.
