Cora Jade Files Lawsuit Against Former WWE Peer After Serious Claims

Cora Jade, now wrestling as Elayna Black, has initiated legal action against former WWE developmental talent Alexis Lete, citing defamation. The move comes in response to recent allegations from Lete, who named Jade as one of the bullies she encountered during her time at the WWE Performance Center.

During a recent appearance on the TMZSports’ Inside the Ring podcast, Jade addressed the claims and confirmed her legal response. She characterized Lete’s accusations as an attempt to gain relevancy from her name two and a half years after the alleged incidents occurred.

“I said what I needed to say, and honestly, I didn’t even finish watching the video,” Jade stated on the podcast. “I watched half of it and then I sent it to my lawyer. So, it’s getting handled.”

The legal conflict arises while Jade is on an indefinite hiatus from professional wrestling. In late July, she announced she was stepping away for the “foreseeable future” to focus on her mental health, canceling all remaining scheduled appearances for 2025. Her last match took place on July 13 at Prestige Wrestling.

Despite the break, Jade has made it clear she is not retiring from the industry. She explained in a recent interview that the time off was a necessary step to avoid potential burnout and rekindle her passion for the business.

Jade was released from her WWE contract on May 2, 2025, after a four-year tenure with the NXT brand where she was a one-time NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion. Following her release, she returned to the independent circuit as Elayna Black, making appearances for promotions including TNA, GCW, and Black Label Pro before announcing her hiatus.
