Title Match at WWE Clash in Paris Could Set Up Major Return

Sam Roberts doesn't expect Nikki Bella to win the title tonight, but he speculates the match against Becky Lynch could lead to Brie Bella's WWE return for a tag team storyline.

Title Match at WWE Clash in Paris Could Set Up Major Return

According to Sam Roberts on his Notsam Wrestling podcast, Nikki Bella will not defeat Becky Lynch for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship tonight at Clash in Paris.

Roberts stated that he doesn’t believe the match is designed for a title change. Instead, he views it as a starting point for a new storyline. He speculated that “shenanigans” during the match could lead to future developments, specifically suggesting the possibility of a Brie Bella return.

“Do I think Nikki Bella leaves with the Intercontinental Championship? No,” Roberts said. “Do I think this is one and done? No, I think that there may be some kind of chicanery… maybe then that opens the door for a Brie Bella return and we get some kind of tag match.” h/t TJRwrestling.

This speculation aligns with recent statements from Nikki Bella herself. In late August, she confirmed she was actively campaigning for Brie to come back for a final run to pursue the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships, a title they have never held together.

However, Brie has identified a significant hurdle to her return. During an episode of her podcast in July, she stated that her husband, Bryan Danielson, being in AEW creates “unease” within WWE, calling it her main “obstacle.”

This is not the first time a Bella Twins reunion has been rumored in recent months. In June, reports suggested Brie was in talks for a comeback to support Nikki in her escalating rivalry with Liv Morgan, which at the time seemed to be building toward a tag team match.
