A video posted by the French outlet Catch-newz has surfaced showing the moment Rhea Ripley was surrounded and mobbed by a large group of fans in Paris ahead of tonight’s Clash in Paris.
The footage shows Ripley attempting to get into what was reported to be an Uber before being swarmed by the crowd. According to reports, she was pushed against the vehicle’s door during the chaotic encounter.
Following the incident, Ripley addressed the situation on social media, criticizing the behavior and urging fans to show common courtesy.
“Remember, we are people. Do not swarm me or anyone like a pack of rabid zombies… No one should ever be pushed up against a uber drivers door and completely mobbed like I just experienced. Use common courtesy and humanity. No means no. Wtf,” she wrote on Twitter.
This is not the first time Ripley has had to publicly address fans overstepping boundaries. In June of this year, she detailed a more concerning event where a fan appeared at the home she shares with husband Buddy Matthews. Ripley described seeing the person on her security camera repeatedly ringing the doorbell, which she called a “terrifying” experience.
Rhea Ripley is in Paris as a featured star for Clash in Paris, which takes place tonight at the Paris La Défense Arena.
