WWE Announces Record-Breaking Attendance for Clash in Paris

WWE announced a live attendance of 30,343 for Clash in Paris, held at the Paris La Défense Arena in Nanterre, France. During the broadcast, commentator Michael Cole revealed that the figure established a new attendance record for the venue, exceeding the previous number set by Taylor Swift’s ERAS Tour concerts. The event was also the final premium live event to be streamed on Peacock before the company’s content moves to ESPN next month.

The record-setting crowd witnessed a chaotic opening match where Roman Reigns defeated Bronson Reed with a spear. The victory was short-lived, as Bron Breakker appeared and attacked Reigns, delivering two spears that sent him through the announcers’ table and another on the ramp. Reed followed up with a “Tsunami” splash before Breakker also took out Jey Uso. As a result of the assault, Reigns was removed from the arena on a stretcher, while Adam Pearce ejected both Breakker and Reed from the building.

Championships were also on the line throughout the night. The Wyatt Sicks, represented by Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis, retained their WWE Tag Team Championships against The Street Profits after interference from Nikki Cross and Uncle Howdy. In another title defense, Becky Lynch kept the Women’s Intercontinental Championship by defeating Nikki Bella with a surprise backslide pin. Bella, in only her second singles match since 2018, showed signs of ring rust during the contest.

The card also featured several high-profile non-title bouts. As part of his ongoing retirement tour, John Cena defeated Logan Paul. In a “Good Old-Fashioned Donnybrook Match,” Rusev secured a submission victory over Sheamus, concluding their rivalry.
