Rampage Jackson Admits His Son Deserves Punishment

After initially blaming the wrestler, former UFC champion Rampage Jackson has changed his stance, stating his son Raja Jackson deserves legal consequences for the severe in-ring assault on Syko Stu that occurred in late August.

Rampage Jackson Admits His Son Deserves Punishment

Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson has publicly stated his son, Raja Jackson, deserves punishment for his physical assault on professional wrestler Syko Stu. In a significant reversal from his initial comments, Rampage posted a video on Instagram addressing the incident, calling his son a “POS” for his actions.

In the video, Jackson explained he was speaking against his attorney’s advice to clear up misinformation. He confirmed his son was permitted to be in the ring, contrary to some reports, and hoped that addressing the situation would stop threats being made against his family. Rampage acknowledged that while he felt others also handled the situation poorly, his son is the one he is most disappointed in.

Raja is still a POS for what he did, but he’s not the only person that handled things wrong. But Raja is the only one I’m disappointed in this situation. Psycho Stu didn’t deserve the what happened to him.

The incident occurred on August 23, 2025, during a KnokXperience wrestling event in California. What was planned as a scripted segment, involving Syko Stu (real name Stuart Smith) hitting Raja with a beer can, turned into a real assault. Raja Jackson went off-script, body-slamming Smith and striking him with more than 20 punches to the head after Smith was already unconscious.

As a result of the attack, Smith was hospitalized for a week with serious injuries, including a fractured maxilla, trauma to both jaws, a laceration on his upper lip, and the loss of several teeth. He has since been released and is recovering at home.

Rampage Jackson added that his son was unaware that Stu is a military veteran who suffers from PTSD, expressing hope that Raja would have acted differently if he had known. He also addressed racist comments surrounding the incident, urging people to view it as “two men getting themselves involved in something stupid that could’ve been avoided.”

At the end of the day a man was hurt. Let’s hope we can move on and learn from this and everyone gets the punishment that they deserve even my son. Nobody is above the law.

This marks a change from Rampage’s initial reaction, where he had blamed Syko Stu for provoking the incident with the beer can. The Los Angeles Police Department launched an investigation into the assault in late August, though no formal charges have been announced. Authorities in California are still investigating the matter.
