The post-match attack that saw Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker leave Roman Reigns written off of television after Clash in Paris was a clear statement of intent. Now, Reed has provided insight into the mindset driving his actions, explaining a significant shift in his attitude since returning to the company.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone Australia, Reed revealed that his 2021 release and subsequent return in December 2022 fundamentally changed his approach. “I think for me, a big change is when I got released from WWE and I came back, I sort of came back with a little bit of a chip on my shoulder, knowing that I need to be as confident as possible and show them I can do this. I’m supposed to be here.”
This confidence is a key part of his role within the main event faction, The Vision. While partners Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker often receive positive reactions from the crowd, Reed embraces his position as the group’s enforcer, ensuring the trio gets the intended heel response. “At the moment, especially with our group, Seth Rollins is a heel, but he gets everyone sings his song. Bron is a heel, but everyone likes to bark for him. So I’m sort of that third guy that makes sure that the people are booing!”
This prominent role is the culmination of a challenging period for Reed. His momentum was abruptly halted in late 2024 when he suffered a severe injury at Survivor Series. During the WarGames match in November, Reed shattered his talus bone after jumping from the top of the steel cage, forcing him to miss the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania.
During his recovery, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque assured Reed that a significant spot would be waiting for him. The company fulfilled that promise upon his return at Saturday Night’s Main Event on May 24, 2025, where he aligned with Rollins and Breakker. The group was officially named “The Vision” on the August 4 episode of Raw.
Since then, Reed has been a fixture in high-profile encounters, including a loss to Roman Reigns at Clash in Paris and a tag team match against Reigns and Jey Uso at SummerSlam on August 2. With WWE scheduled to hold Crown Jewel in his native Australia in October 2025, the former NXT North American Champion and 2024 André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal winner is positioned for a major showcase in his home country.
