After weeks of speculation about his status, Killer Kross confirms his WWE exit is legitimate and states he plans to be back on television for a major promotion in the future.

Killer Kross Vows Television Return in a “Really Crazy Way”

Just over a week after shattering a violin at a Game Changer Wrestling event and shouting, “It’s clearly not a f**king work,” to dispel rumors about his WWE departure, Killer Kross has affirmed his plans to return to television. While his exit on August 10 was the result of a contentious contract negotiation, Kross is already looking toward his next chapter on a major platform.

In a recent interview with the Wrestling Classic, Kross stated he intends to be back on TV, though the when and where remain undecided. He expressed a desire to make his return memorable, promising it would be in a “really crazy way.”

The fan response to his departure, particularly the “#WeWantKross” movement, has deeply affected him.

“Man, it almost prompts me to cry when they come to me crying,” Kross said. “I’m like, ‘You’re killing my gimmick, brother!’ [laughs]. It’s very, very touching… It has been so awesome to be accepted like this from people all over the world. For me, it’s not just wrestling. I feel like people know what’s going on in my life. They’re not just talking to Karrion Kross or Killer Kross, they’re talking to Kevin. And I never thought I’d be in a place where I was comfortable enough to allow that in, but I am. And, like, it feels special. It feels really special.”

Kross’s departure from WWE stemmed from a breakdown in contract talks during the final week of his deal. According to Kross, he was given a 24-hour deadline on an offer that did not initially include his wife, Scarlett Bordeaux. When he requested to see the analytics and metrics used to determine his value, he stated the offer was rescinded by the company. His final televised WWE appearance was at SummerSlam on August 2.

The exit followed a period of reported creative frustration, which included being pulled from the 2025 Royal Rumble and the abrupt cancellation of a significant storyline for his faction, The Final Testament, just before his contract expired.

Since leaving WWE, Kross has begun a “Killer Tour” on the independent circuit, with dates announced for WrestlePro, Defy Wrestling, and House of Glory, where he is scheduled to face Matt Cardona on October 10. When asked if he and Scarlett would always work as a package deal moving forward, Kross indicated they are flexible.

“Not necessarily,” he responded. “Her and I, as long as the deal is fair and with respect and can be discussed with logic and rational communication, we’re open to working in and out of whatever is being offered.”
