WWE NXT kicks off on Ther CW. Arriving at the event are Ricky Saints, Oba Femi, Hank Walker, Tank Ledger, and the entire DarkState.
Singles Match: Jaida Parker vs. Lash Legend
– Lash lands a “Legend Extension” on Parker, followed by a pinfall.
Jaida attacks Lash on the entrance ramp. Parker throws Lash into the steel steps and then delivers the “Hipnotic” near the barricade, which breaks. Officials rush in to try to get the situation under control.
Arianna Grace introduces herself to Blake Monroe while they’re both putting on makeup, making it clear she doesn’t like Jordynne Grace. Moments later, Jordynne shows up and a fight nearly breaks out. The people in the room step in, including Kali Armstrong, who ends up getting shoved by the “Juggernaut.” Frustrated, the Women’s Evolve Champion reminds everyone this is the second time she’s been disrespected. From that moment on, Jordynne warns that Arianna doesn’t only have to worry about Monroe, but about her as well.
Je’Von Evans walks backstage and makes his way to the ring. On the microphone, he thanks the fans but admits he can’t feel excited after Heatwave. He explains that he truly believed he would become champion against Oba Femi, but the match didn’t go the way he expected. He even told his sister that he would be the youngest champion in history, but couldn’t deliver. Evans recalls hearing the referee’s count to three, but noticing Femi’s foot under the rope. Right after, Femi took advantage of the situation and won. Evans apologizes to the fans and admits he feels defeated himself, revealing that he spent a week without even talking about it.
Suddenly, an image of a motorcycle appears on the screen. As Evans reacts, The Undertaker’s gong hits—but instead, it’s Josh Briggs who comes out. Briggs criticizes Evans, saying he represents what’s wrong in the locker room. He tells Evans he should have confronted Femi in person to demand a rematch and accuses him of being part of a generation that only talks on the internet. Evans tries to shut down the argument, but Briggs keeps pushing, calling him weak. Briggs then kicks him, unleashes a series of attacks, and sets up a chair in the ring. Finally, Briggs lifts Evans and slams him down with a Chokeslam onto the chair.
Backstage, Hank Waler and Tank Ledger deliver a speech asking the group to unite so they can earn a shot at the title. Afterwards, Hank talks with Oba Femi about Ricky Saints, while Tank speaks with Ricky about Oba. Then, Hank announces that they have a plan, and Tank says everyone will meet in the ring before they leave. Ricky tells Oba to stay focused, but Oba replies that Ricky should worry about himself.
Women’s Speed Chjampionship Tournament: Candice LeRae vs. Xia Brookside
– LeRae lands a “Springboard Moonsault” on Brookside, followed by a pinfall.
Josh Briggs walks into the men’s locker room and taunts the others, telling them to keep talking if they’ve got the guts. Kale Dixon fires back, saying he does have the guts and that Josh is terrible. Uriah Connors chimes in, calling Josh an idiot. At that moment, Andre Chase shows up and says it’s not their fault. Josh snaps back, saying they’re getting advice but that Chase isn’t The Undertaker. Then Kale and Uriah declare that Chase will handle the situation and announce that they’re going to talk to Ava about the match.
Ava is in her office when Jacy Jayne walks in with Jazmyn Nyx and Fallon Henley. Ava announces that she wants an NXT team to challenge for the tag titles. Izzi Dame mocks Fallon, saying losers don’t get opportunities. The teams argue, each claiming they deserve the shot, and Ava books a triple elimination match for next week, with the winners earning the title opportunity.
Next, the DarkState group appears in a video. Shugars says that when the lights flicker, it’s already too late. Dion introduces himself as a renegade, reminding everyone that Osiris never had a chance in the League. Cutler says he was humiliated on TV and dismissed as lacking charisma. Dion brings up Saquon, who took six years to make it to NXT. They criticize Trick Williams and Oba Femi, saying they fooled the fans, and promise they’ve got the talent to move ahead. They emphasize that they were never seen as championship material, yet now they hold titles in their hands. Shugars closes by declaring that they are brothers, unlike the others.
Backstage, Trick Williams is shown before heading to the ring. He declares himself the biggest star in NXT, claiming nobody has ever contradicted him. He says that might be because everyone recognizes his greatness—or because they no longer care about the brand. He acknowledges the fans who stay loyal to NXT but admits that once he moves up to RAW or SmackDown, he won’t be around for them anymore.
The music of Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa hits, and they enter. Johnny points out that today marks ten years since their NXT debut. Ciampa and Johnny highlight Trick’s accomplishments and compare them to their own careers. Ciampa takes Trick’s glasses and reminds him that it was them, as DIY, who paved the way. Trick insists he means no disrespect but guarantees he’s surpassed everything they ever did. The argument turns physical—Ciampa shoves Trick, who misses a punch, and Johnny lands a superkick. Immediately after, Gargano and Ciampa hit their superkick-and-knee strike combo.
Backstage, Ava checks on Je’Von. He insists he’s fine. Ava tells him that if he doesn’t interfere in Josh’s match, he’ll get his chance next week.
Backstage, Tavion Heights hands the Canadian flag back to Ethan Page, but Ethan says the object is a gift to a country of true patriotism and declares that the flag represents 40 million people. Tavion replies that he has a problem with a “maple syrup–drinking idiot.” Ethan states that he will not recognize the United States flag. He also mentions that Ava was going to set up a flag match, but Ava clarifies that it will only happen next week. In the end, Tavion assures that Ethan will recognize the flag in their confrontation the following week.
Singles Match: WWE EVOLVE Women’s Champion Kali Armstrong vs. Jordynne Grace
– Grace lands a “Grace Driver” on Armstron, followed by a pinfall.
After the match, Blake Monroe stares down Grace on the entrance ramp. Grace shoves Monroe against the ring steps, but security quickly pulls her away. Monroe starts bleeding from the mouth.
Singles Match: Josh Briggs vs. Andre Chase
– Briggs lands a “Running Boot” on Chase, followed by a pinfall.
After the match, Briggs attacks Kale Dixon and delivers a Chokeslam to Uriah Connors, smashing him through the announcers’ table.
Next week, there will be a Flag Match between Tavion Heights and Ethan Page. Izzi Dame and Tatum Paxley will face Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nyx, along with Sol Ruca and Zaria, in an elimination match to determine the next challengers for the tag team titles. Je’Von Evans will also take on Josh Briggs at the same event.
8-Man Tag Team Match: NXT Champion Oba Femi, Ricky Saints, Hank Walker e Tank Ledger vs. NXT Tag Team Champions DarkState (Dion Lennox, Osiris Griffin, Cutler James e Saquon Shugars)
– After a surprise appearance by Joe Hendry, Hank and Tank finish off James, winning the match.
Hank, Tank, and Joe celebrate in the ring alongside the fans. Backstage, security struggles to break up the fight between the Saints and Femi. That’s how this week’s episode of NXT comes to an end.
End of show.
