Hendry’s entrance provided the perfect distraction, allowing Hank & Tank to capitalize and secure the win over Dion Lennox, Osiris Griffin, Cutler James, and Saquon Shugars.
The appearance wasn’t entirely out of the blue. It served as a direct follow-up to the August 19th episode of NXT, where Hendry first crossed paths with DarkState after emerging from a cabinet, warning the group to stay out of his way.
This latest cameo continues to solidify Hendry’s role as a recurring, impactful player in NXT, a key feature of the ongoing partnership between WWE and TNA that was formally acknowledged in 2024. This talent exchange has already seen Hendry engage in a notable feud with Trick Williams earlier this year, which concluded with a match at Battleground 2025.
With multiple high-profile appearances under his belt and reports indicating a positive backstage reception to his work, speculation continues to mount about Hendry’s long-term plans once his TNA contract expires. For now, however, he remains one of TNA’s most entertaining exports, capable of changing the landscape of NXT with a single appearance.
