All Elite Wrestling announcer Justin Roberts has sustained a broken toe, an injury he revealed through a post on his Instagram story. The post included a graphic X-ray image of the fracture. Despite the clear damage, Roberts is not expected to miss any of his on-air duties for the company.
Roberts’ continued presence ensures AEW will not lose one of its most consistent voices. He has been the promotion’s main ring announcer since he was officially hired on April 3, 2019, serving as a foundational element of the company’s presentation. His work with the promotion even predates its formal launch, as he was also an announcer for the seminal “All In” event on September 1, 2018, which is widely seen as the precursor to AEW.
Since the debut episode of AEW Dynamite on October 2, 2019, Roberts has been the announcer for the company’s flagship shows, including Rampage and Collision, as well as its pay-per-view events.
In his social media post revealing the injury, Roberts added a broken bone emoji and played the Alice in Chains song “Them Bones” over the image of the X-ray.

While the injury is significant, it appears it will not interrupt his role at the announcer’s table. Fans can expect Roberts to continue his duties, though he will likely be taking things easier behind the scenes until he has fully recovered.
