Karrion Kross Reveals WWE Scrapped Plans For Wyatt Sicks Storyline

Karrion Kross has revealed that The Final Testament’s victory over The Wyatt Sicks was not the intended conclusion for the storyline between the two factions. Speaking with Denise Salcedo of Instinct Culture, Kross stated that the creative direction changed unexpectedly after his group defeated The Wyatt Sicks on the December 9th episode of WWE Raw. This revelation provides new context for the creative frustrations that marked the final year of his tenure with the company, which ended with his contract expiring in August.

According to Kross, the win was never meant to be the blow-off for the program.

“When The Final Testament went over on the Wyatts, that was not supposed to be the end of that story. I’m using my words. There was an accidental transfer of equity to our group. That was not supposed to be the end of the story. The rest of that story will be told another time. There are a lot of private details in it,” Kross said.

He noted the immediate creative fallout from that decision. “Then, my group was gone, and I was relegated to small backstage stuff.”

The dissolution of his faction began shortly after, as Akam and Rezar of AOP were released by WWE in February. This left Kross and Scarlett as the remaining members of The Final Testament, effectively halting any momentum from the feud.

This incident was part of a larger pattern of creative issues for Kross, who exited WWE when his contract expired on August 10, 2025. He had expressed interest in renegotiating as early as January but was met with months of silence from the company. His final WWE match took place at SummerSlam on August 2.

Since his departure, Kross has had to repeatedly confirm in interviews between August and early September that his exit is legitimate and not a storyline “work.” Now a free agent alongside Scarlett, Kross made his first independent wrestling appearance on August 23 for Game Changer Wrestling.
