Solo Sikoa issued a pointed message directed at his cousin, Roman Reigns, exactly three years after his main roster debut. Via an Instagram story on September 3, 2025, the MFT leader posted a throwback photo of himself with Reigns from that night, accompanied by the caption, “I was loyal from the start….” The message comes as Reigns is currently hospitalized following a brutal attack by Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker at WWE Clash in Paris.
Sikoa’s declaration of past loyalty lands at a precarious moment in his own career. He lost the United States Championship to Sami Zayn on the August 29 edition of SmackDown in Décines-Charpieu, France, a defeat that has fueled discussions about his position as the leader of the MFT faction. Zayn pinned Sikoa after delivering two Helluva Kicks.
The title loss ended a reign that began on June 28, 2025, when Sikoa defeated his former enforcer, Jacob Fatu, for the championship at Night of Champions in Riyadh. He subsequently retained the title against Fatu in a steel cage match at SummerSlam on August 3.
The relationship between Sikoa and Reigns has deteriorated significantly since WrestleMania XL. Sikoa broke away to form his own version of The Bloodline, recruiting Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa, before officially rebranding the group as My Family Tree (MFT) with the additions of JC Mateo and Talla Tonga.
This move followed a period of direct feuding with Reigns. A key turning point occurred on the January 2025 premiere of Raw on Netflix, where Sikoa lost the Ula Fala and the title of “Tribal Chief” to Reigns, escalating the tensions that now frame his claim of original loyalty.
