Jeff Hardy Says He Still Has Surprising Spot Planned For Future Match

Jeff Hardy’s career has been defined by innovations that pushed the Ladder Match to its absolute limit. Now, the TNA World Tag Team Champion has revealed that he still holds two unrevealed, never-before-seen finishes for the signature bout.

During an appearance on The Angle Podcast, Hardy disclosed the existence of these concepts while discussing his history of creative contributions. He referenced the rope ladder spot from TNA Slammiversary, an idea he had conceived years prior. “I’ve had that in my mind since TLC 2,” Hardy stated. “After TLC 2, I think it was probably the first time I brought it up to maybe Michael Hayes, and he went, ‘Ah, nobody’s going to do that.’”

Hardy affirmed his commitment to originality, adding, “There are two more possible finishes, I don’t know if they’ll top that, but I mean it’s something that’s never been done, and I kinda live for that, figuring out stuff that’s never been done that we can actually bring to life.” (h/t Fightful)

This focus on creative evolution extends beyond in-ring spots, as Hardy is also actively planning the return of his “Willow” alter ego. He has confirmed the persona will reemerge in TNA and that he intends to use his TikTok account to experiment with new narrative directions for the character.

The enigmatic gimmick last appeared on TNA programming in April 2025 to engage in psychological warfare against Nic Nemeth. Before that, the character had a significant run in 2014 and was later used as a tool by Matt Hardy during the “Broken” saga to torment his brother, then known as “Brother Nero.”

For now, The Hardys are set to team with Mara Sade against The Great Hands and Tasha Steelz on the September 4 edition of TNA Impact. The brothers are also scheduled for a major encounter against Team 3D at TNA Bound for Glory.
