Indi Hartwell’s trajectory in Total Nonstop Action has been locked onto its target: championship gold. She secured a TNA Knockouts World Championship match at Bound For Glory after winning a three-way number one contender’s bout on the September 4 live edition of TNA iMPACT. Hartwell earned the pinfall over Jody Threat to win the contest, but her celebration was immediately cut short by a post-match assault from the third competitor, Dani Luna.
The chaotic match itself was the direct result of a previous controversial finish. Threat had initially been named the number one contender after winning a Battle Royal by disqualification. That ruling was made after Dani Luna illegally interfered, attacking Hartwell before turning her attention to Threat and triggering the DQ.
Hartwell’s opponent for the October 12 pay-per-view has yet to be determined. She is set to challenge the winner of the upcoming title defense at Victory Road, where champion Ash by Elegance will face Masha Slamovich.
This title opportunity represents the culmination of a dominant run since Hartwell debuted with the promotion at Rebellion on April 27, 2025. Her record includes high-profile victories over Tessa Blanchard at Slammiversary and Rosemary during the Countdown to Emergence pre-show.
Beyond her success within TNA, Hartwell also captured the vacant House of Glory Women’s Championship in May by defeating Miyu Yamashita. This win further solidified her status as a premier competitor following her WWE release in November 2024.
