Bianca Belair is currently on a hiatus from WWE programming, but she’s using the time off to debut a new look. On her Instagram story, the former champion revealed she has ditched her signature long braid in favor of straightened hair with bangs.
The change marks a significant departure from the braid, which has been a central part of her on-screen identity since her main roster debut in 2020.
While a new look can often signal a character shift, Belair’s husband, Montez Ford, believes her popularity might make a potential heel turn difficult.
Speaking on the No Contest Wrestling Podcast, Ford stated that he feels fans would continue to cheer for Belair regardless of her alignment. “I told her that. She can try to go heel, she can try to go bad, they just gonna rock with her man,” Ford said.
Belair does have experience working as a heel, having done so during her time in NXT. However, she has been presented exclusively as a babyface since being called up to the main roster.
