Disappointing News for WWE After This Week’s Raw

Even an episode loaded with a major return and significant storyline developments couldn’t prevent a dip in viewership for the September 1 edition of WWE Raw. The latest streaming figures from Netflix show a decline for the broadcast that immediately followed the Clash in Paris premium live event.

The show, which took place in France, pulled in 2.4 million global views and 5.2 million hours viewed during its first seven days. This marks a week-over-week drop of 200,000 views and 600,000 hours viewed from the August 25 episode. The slide resulted in Raw falling two spots to #8 globally among English-language shows and down to #5 in the United States.

The viewership downturn is notable given the episode’s content. The show closed with the return of Jimmy Uso, who hit the ring with a steel chair to save his brother Jey from a post-match assault by Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.

That segment capped off a broadcast that also featured an intense in-ring confrontation where Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch slapped CM Punk, and a controversial finish that saw Dominik Mysterio retain his Intercontinental Championship against AJ Styles after interference from the masked El Grande Americano.
