WWE’s Chief Content Officer Triple H was notably absent from this week’s Raw in Milwaukee, and now we know why. During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show today, The Game not only explained his absence but also accidentally revealed a secret project he was working on.
Triple H confirmed he missed the show because he was filming an upcoming episode of Tony Hinchcliffe’s popular live comedy show, Kill Tony. Realizing he had just spoiled a surprise that was meant to be kept under wraps until next Monday, he laughed it off. “Oh, s—t… I’m not supposed to say that,” he admitted on the air.
His filming commitment explains why he was out of the loop on some of the creative decisions for Monday’s show at the Fiserv Forum. He noted that he still hadn’t watched Raw and was unaware why the planned contract signing between Stephanie Vaquer and IYO SKY for their vacant Women’s World Championship match at Wrestlepalooza was pulled from the broadcast.
While discussing recent WWE events, Triple H also offered high praise for AJ Lee’s return after nearly a decade. He commended her seamless performance on SmackDown, stating that she “hasn’t missed a beat” and is “as charismatic as ever,” giving his official endorsement to the major mixed tag team match now set for WrestlePalooza.
The collaboration with Hinchcliffe, a longtime wrestling fan, deepens his connection to WWE after he previously hosted the inaugural Roast of WrestleMania earlier this year.
