WWE Analyst Says Jacob Fatu Has Major Shot at WrestleMania 42 Main Event

Jacob Fatu has had a monster first year on the main roster, including a 69-day run with the United States Championship he won at WrestleMania 41. Despite multiple PLE main events under his belt, the question remains how he gets from the upper card to the final match at the biggest show of the year. On a recent episode of his “Notsam” podcast, media personality Sam Roberts offered a clear, step-by-step fantasy booking scenario.

The first and most crucial step, according to Roberts, is for Fatu to completely break away from any lingering Bloodline connections. He believes it’s time for Fatu to establish his own identity, separate from both his initial heel run with Solo Sikoa and his more recent babyface team-up with Jimmy Uso.

“Yes, I think he should be separated from Solo. I also think he should be separated from Jimmy Uso,” Roberts stated. “I think it’s time for Jacob Fatu to really branch out… And then start a whole, fresh story with Jacob Fatu.”

With Fatu established as a true singles competitor, the next phase of the plan involves testing his mettle against proven main-event talent. “To answer the question of how to get in the main event of WrestleMania 42, you start having him work with main eventers,” Roberts explained. “You start having him work with the Drew McIntyre’s of the world, and you start having him work with the AJ Styles’ of the world.”

Roberts dove deeper, laying out a specific rivalry he’d book to showcase Fatu’s capabilities. He suggested a heel turn for a current fan favorite would be the perfect catalyst for a star-making program.
