WWE Confirms 2026 Royal Rumble Date

For the first time ever, the Royal Rumble is leaving North America. WWE has confirmed that the 2026 edition of the iconic event will take place on Saturday, January 31, live from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The groundbreaking move marks the first time the Rumble has been held outside of the United States since its inaugural show in Hamilton, Ontario, way back in 1988. News of the location was revealed during a separate event that also confirmed WrestleMania will be heading to the country in 2027.

While a specific start time was not announced, fans in the United States should likely prepare for an early afternoon premium live event, following the pattern of previous WWE shows from the region. The decision solidifies the Rumble as the latest major show in WWE’s long-standing business arrangement with the country.

The WWE and Saudi Arabia Partnership

This announcement is the latest major step in a partnership that began in 2018 as part of the country’s “Vision 2030” agreement. Over the years, Saudi Arabia has hosted numerous premium live events, including Crown Jewel, King & Queen of the Ring, Elimination Chamber, and the Greatest Royal Rumble.
