In a hard-fought main event, Dominik Mysterio defeated El Hijo del Vikingo to capture the AAA Mega Championship, adding it to the WWE Intercontinental Championship he has held since WrestleMania 41.
The bout descended into mayhem when Finn Balor and JD McDonagh attempted to interfere on Mysterio’s behalf, only to be neutralized by Dragon Lee and the elder Mysterio. It seemed Vikingo had the match won until El Grande Americano emerged, pulling the referee from the ring during a crucial pinfall attempt.
This interference created the opening for Dominik to hit a frog splash and secure the victory, ending Vikingo’s reign at just over 100 days.
Per a pre-match stipulation, a defeated Rey Mysterio was forced to enter the ring and personally strap the AAA Mega Title around his son’s waist. While The Judgment Day came out to celebrate with their stablemate, it was El Grande Americano who stood tall and raised the new double champion’s hand as the show went off the air.
