CM Punk is heading back to Japan for WWE, with the company confirming he will be part of its upcoming supershow events in Tokyo on October 17th and 18th.
The announcement, made by WWE Japan’s official X account, marks Punk’s first appearance in the country since a 2011 live event. The shows will take place at the iconic Sumo Hall and are WWE’s first events in Japan since July 2024, giving local fans a rare opportunity to see the former world champion live.
This international booking highlights Punk’s status as a top draw since his 2023 return, a position cemented by his ongoing, deeply personal feud back in the United States.

The Escalating Feud with Seth Rollins
Punk is currently locked in a bitter rivalry with World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. The feud intensified at SummerSlam when Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank contract to take the title from Punk, ending his first championship run since returning.
The animosity has since drawn in their spouses, leading to a massive mixed tag team match scheduled for WrestlePalooza on September 20, where Punk will team with the returning AJ Lee to face Rollins and Becky Lynch.
