With WWE’s Wrestlepalooza event just days away, the final stop is this Monday’s edition of Raw, and the card is already shaping up. Raw General Manager Adam Pearce took to social media to announce several new matchups for the broadcast.
Pearce confirmed matches for the show, including El Grande Americano vs. Dragon Lee, Penta vs. Kofi Kingston, and Lyra Valkyria vs. Roxanne Perez. The show, taking place at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, Massachusetts, will also feature John Cena, making an appearance in the city where he is a member of the Springfield College Hall of Fame.
One of the key segments for the go-home show is a face-to-face confrontation. AJ Lee and CM Punk are scheduled to be in the same ring as Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch, just days before their matches at Wrestlepalooza.
That event, set for Saturday, September 20, marks the beginning of a new partnership between WWE and ESPN and is scheduled for the same day as AEW’s All Out pay-per-view.
The Wrestlepalooza card will feature AJ Lee’s first match in a decade, as she teams with her husband, CM Punk. Elsewhere, Stephanie Vaquer, who recently confirmed she is “ready to go” following injury speculation, will challenge Iyo Sky for the Women’s World Championship.
The main event is billed as the final match between John Cena and Brock Lesnar.
