The match between Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes is still a week away, but the Scottish Warrior isn’t waiting for the bell to start the mind games. After this week’s SmackDown, McIntyre took to Twitter with a video taunting his opponent in a personal way.
The footage shows McIntyre driving after the event and interacting with fans, before blasting Cody Rhodes’ entrance theme, “Kingdom,” on his car stereo. After the musical jab, McIntyre looked into the camera and sent a direct warning:
“One week. One more week. Cody’s a—s belongs to me.”
This escalation follows last Friday’s SmackDown, which featured the return of The American Nightmare. Rhodes stormed the ring to save Randy Orton from a post-match beatdown at the hands of McIntyre, then issued the challenge that was quickly made official for Wrestlepalooza.
McIntyre’s latest promo makes clear that their clash at Wrestlepalooza won’t just be about physicality — the psychological battle is already underway.
