Charlotte Flair Shares Update On Tag Team Future With Alexa Bliss

Charlotte Flair reveals her preference for being a solo competitor while praising her tag team partnership with Alexa Bliss ahead of their upcoming title defense.

Charlotte Flair Shares Update On Tag Team Future With Alexa Bliss

Charlotte Flair has built a Hall of Fame-caliber career on a simple premise: she stands alone. The Queen has never been one to share the spotlight, which makes her recent comments about her run as tag team champion even more notable.

Speaking on the Nightcap podcast, Flair was candid about her preferences but gave strong praise to her current partner:

“Personally, I like solo. I don’t like sharing the spotlight, but I am in a tag team with the one person I don’t mind sharing the spotlight with, and that’s Alexa Bliss. And I’m having so much fun. She’s great. She definitely brings out a different side of my character for TV, so it’s great.”

Flair’s comments come as she and Bliss remain sidelined. Flair suffered an injury during the August 29 edition of SmackDown, after an attack from Chelsea Green’s faction.

The champions, however, are not expected to be out much longer. Flair and Bliss are scheduled to return tomorrow night at NXT Homecoming, where they’ll defend the Women’s Tag Team Championships against The Culling’s Izzi Dame and Tatum Paxley.

The upcoming defense will be a major test for the champions, who won the titles from The Judgment Day’s Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez at SummerSlam last month. This reign also marks an important chapter for Flair, who only returned earlier this year at the Women’s Royal Rumble after being sidelined for a full year with a knee injury.
