All Out was already personal, but now Dax Harwood has put his entire career on the line.
Responding directly to a fan on Twitter who asked about the plan if FTR were to lose, Harwood’s reply was blunt: “I’ll retire from being an in-ring competitor.”
This career-threatening stipulation is the culmination of a feud that began at the AEW Dynasty pay-per-view in April. After a trios match, FTR turned on their then-partner Adam Copeland, attacking him so viciously it put the Hall of Famer out of action for months. The duo claimed Copeland was using them to relive his glory days and that they were done being treated as an afterthought.
When Copeland returned, AEW official Stokely Hathaway blocked him from any physical retaliation, threatening termination if he laid a hand on FTR. That forced Copeland into an uneasy alliance with his longtime rival, Christian Cage, simply to even the odds.
The two teams finally came to blows on an episode of Dynamite in late August, setting up their first-ever tag team meeting. The match will take place in Copeland and Cage’s hometown of Toronto, adding even more pressure on Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler as they head into a fight that could mark the end of FTR’s run.
