After more than four years away from WWE competition, Tyler Breeze returned to NXT tonight, challenging Ethan Page for the North American Championship in a performance that showed “Prince Pretty” has not missed a beat.
The match, an all-Canadian showdown, saw Breeze arrive with his trademark selfie stick and quickly push the champion to his limit. He locked in a Sharpshooter that had the crowd roaring and later connected with the Beauty Shot for a near-fall so close that chants of “that was 3!” filled Full Sail Arena.
Breeze pressed hard in pursuit of his first singles title in WWE, delivering wave after wave of offense.
Page, however, weathered the storm. The champion absorbed the punishment and found his opening, putting Breeze away with a top-rope Twisted Grin to retain the North American Championship.
The victory celebration was short-lived. In a backstage segment, Damian Priest approached Tavion Heights and revealed he had already spoken with NXT General Manager Ava to secure Heights a future title opportunity against Page, ensuring the champion’s next challenge is already in place.
