Major Changes to WWE NXT No Mercy Card

The NXT No Mercy card adds two huge title matches, including a winner-take-all TNA and NXT Championship bout and a new North American title defense.

Major Changes to WWE NXT No Mercy Card

The card for NXT No Mercy has expanded in dramatic fashion with the addition of two major title matches, including a cross-promotional announcement that brings the TNA World Championship into the spotlight.

In a development revealed on this week’s episode, TNA World Champion Trick Williams will meet NXT Champion Oba Femi in a winner-take-all match next Tuesday. The victor will enter No Mercy as a double champion, defending both belts against number one contender Ricky Saints, who has been embroiled in a heated rivalry with Femi since their clash at NXT Heatwave.

Main roster involvement also shaped the lineup. World Champion Damian Priest appeared on NXT and successfully lobbied Ava to grant Tavion Heights a championship opportunity. As a result, Ethan Page will now defend the NXT North American Title against Heights at the event.

These bouts add to a card already featuring Jacy Jayne defending the NXT Women’s Championship against Lola Vice, and Sol Ruca set to put the WWE Women’s Speed Championship on the line against the winner of a qualifier match.

Scheduled for Saturday, September 27 in Fort Lauderdale, NXT No Mercy is not only packed with high-stakes championship encounters but will also mark the brand’s first premium live event to air under WWE’s new partnership with Netflix.
