Top AEW Stable Reportedly Getting Major Shake-Up

It appears The Hurt Syndicate’s business may be expanding. According to a new report, AEW is holding internal discussions about freshening up the dominant faction with an infusion of younger talent.

This news comes amid a period of pronounced stability for the group. The report clarifies that rumors from earlier this year about MVP potentially leaving the company were unfounded, and it reaffirms that all core members of the Syndicate are secured on multi-year contracts with AEW. The faction, led by MVP and featuring Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin, has been a force since its formation nearly a year ago in October 2024.

The group is no stranger to evolving, having previously brought MJF into the fold for a chaotic three-month tenure that ended this past August. That experiment in expansion followed a successful run for the core unit, which saw Lashley and Benjamin capture the AEW World Tag Team Championship earlier this year.

While no specific names are concretely linked to the potential expansion, the idea of bringing in new signings has reportedly been part of the conversation. Fans have speculated online about a name like Cedric Alexander, but the report notes there is nothing to suggest he is being considered by the company.
