Report Reveals When Joe Hendry Will Sign With WWE

Joe Hendry’s theme music and charisma have quickly made him a standout presence on WWE programming, and now there is a clear timeline for his full-time move. According to The Takedown, the TNA-contracted star is expected to join WWE on a permanent basis by early 2026.

The report, citing sources within both WWE and TNA, clarifies that while some fans believe Hendry has already signed, he remains under contract with TNA. President Carlos Silva confirmed his status, noting that both companies are coordinating appearances through their ongoing partnership. The expectation is that Hendry will complete his transition in just over a year.

That process is already well underway. Of Hendry’s last eight matches, seven have been for WWE, including a recent house show loop in the UK against The Miz. While he may still appear on TNA programming, the plan is to spotlight him more heavily on WWE NXT.

Hendry’s crossover success began with his viral NXT debut in June 2024. Since then, he has challenged for the NXT Championship at No Mercy, entered the Royal Rumble as the first reigning TNA champion to compete, and shared the WrestleMania 41 stage with Randy Orton.

His role in NXT has continued to grow. After entering the tag team title mix last week, he was featured in a backstage segment with Bobby Roode at NXT Homecoming, where the former champion advised him to keep his focus on the NXT Championship. With momentum building, Hendry appears set to make the WWE Universe believe on a weekly basis sooner rather than later.
