Charlotte Flair And Alexa Bliss Retain WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles On SmackDown

Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss retained the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on SmackDown, defeating Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre in their third successful defense.

The champions, who won the titles from Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez at SummerSlam, have already turned back challenges from the former champions on Raw and from Izzi Dame and Tatum Paxley of The Culling on NXT. Green, a former tag champion herself, teamed with Fyre in place of her usual partner, Piper Niven, who was absent.

Flair opened the match against Green, and the champions quickly established control. The challengers answered back when Green knocked Bliss from the apron, creating an early opening.

Seizing the advantage, Green and Fyre targeted Bliss with double-team offense and rule-bending tactics. At ringside, Fyre held Bliss in place for a dropkick from Green before slamming her into the ringpost. Inside the ropes, they cut Bliss off from Flair, keeping her isolated.

The momentum shifted once Flair tagged in. She stormed the ring with a pair of clotheslines, followed by rapid-fire chops and a cartwheel into a running clothesline. Green intervened to halt her climb to the top rope, giving Fyre the chance to land a top-rope senton that nearly secured the upset. Bliss broke up the pin at the last moment.

That save proved decisive. The champions regrouped, hitting stereo Natural Selections to put down both challengers. Flair scored the pinfall over Fyre, ensuring the titles remain in their hands.
