The landscape of All Elite Wrestling’s women’s division has shifted, as Kris Statlander is the new AEW Women’s World Champion, capturing the title in a grueling four-way match at All Out in Toronto. Statlander overcame not only defending champion Toni Storm but also former champion Jamie Hayter and Thekla.
The match concluded when Statlander scored a surprise pinfall directly on Storm. The title defense was one Storm had called for herself, pitting her against three challengers.
In the immediate aftermath, a bewildered Storm was left stunned on the entrance ramp, watching the celebration unfold. Harley Cameron then emerged to celebrate with the new champion, walking past a dazed Storm as she slowly made her way to the back.
This victory marks a milestone for Statlander, giving her the first AEW Women’s World Championship reign of her career after three previously unsuccessful challenges. It also cements her place in company history, as she is now the first woman in AEW to have held both the TBS Championship and the AEW Women’s World Championship. Statlander previously held the TBS title for 174 days in 2023.
The loss ends Storm’s dominant fourth reign with the championship, which lasted 217 days. During her run, which began after she defeated Mariah May at Grand Slam Australia in February, Storm made six successful defenses against top contenders including Mercedes Moné at All In Texas and ROH Women’s World Champion Athena at Forbidden Door.
