WWE Kicks Off New Era On ESPN With Historic Change Fans May Have Missed

The ESPN era for WWE has officially begun, and it arrived with a brand-new signature opening. At Wrestlepalooza, the company unveiled an updated “Then. Now. Forever. Together.” intro video, setting the tone for its first premium live event on the new platform.

The package features a dense mix of icons from different generations, including legends like “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, The Rock, Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Ric Flair, and Andre the Giant. It also prominently showcases current top stars such as Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, and Becky Lynch, bridging the gap between the company’s past and present. The intro further highlights pivotal figures like Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, John Cena, Trish Stratus, Lita, and the recently returned CM Punk.

This marks the first major update to the signature intro since it was last changed for WrestleMania 40 earlier this year. The Wrestlepalooza version, however, was specifically designed to coincide with the company’s broadcast partnership shift, heralding a new look for a new era.
