Paul Heyman Breaks Silence After Aligning With Brock Lesnar at WWE Wrestlepalooza

Following Brock Lesnar’s dominant performance at WWE Wrestlepalooza, his newly reunited advocate Paul Heyman made it brutally clear what The Beast’s mission is.

At the premium live event, Lesnar dismantled John Cena in under ten minutes, blasting him with five F5s for the victory. The assault continued after the bell, with Lesnar delivering another F5 to Cena before laying out the referee.

The match was preceded by a surprise appearance from Paul Heyman, who stood in Lesnar’s corner for the first time since before his alliance with Roman Reigns. Heyman delivered a fiery ring introduction for his former client, calling him “the last real a—kicker.”

This reunion was set in motion on last night’s episode of SmackDown. After laying out Corey Graves, Lesnar confronted Heyman backstage while he was flanked by his current faction, the heel group known as The Vision. With World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed looking on, Lesnar simply told Heyman, “We should talk,” leaving the situation unresolved until tonight.

Wrestlepalooza marked Lesnar’s first match since SummerSlam 2023. His return to WWE programming last month was his first appearance since he was named over 40 times in the Janel Grant lawsuit filed against Vince McMahon and WWE. While Lesnar is not a defendant, the suit accuses McMahon of s—xual assault and s—x trafficking.

Speaking at the post-show press conference, Heyman offered a chilling reminder of Lesnar’s purpose, echoing comments he made after Lesnar ended The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak.

“Here’s what I’ll say about Brock. I said it the night after Brock Lesnar conquered the Undertaker’s undefeated streak at WrestleMania; Brock Lesnar is not here to put smiles on people’s faces. Brock Lesnar is here to put tears in the eyes of children.”
