Tony Khan Addresses Beth Phoenix’s Shocking Appearance At AEW All Out

WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix’s arrival in All Elite Wrestling was a major moment at All Out, but the night ended in a brutal assault. Following the event, AEW President Tony Khan weighed in on her debut and its chaotic aftermath.

Phoenix, referred to on commentary as Beth Copeland, made her presence felt during the opening tag team contest, neutralizing Stokely Hathaway with a spear at ringside. This intervention proved decisive, allowing her husband Adam Copeland and his partner Christian Cage to secure a victory over FTR. The hard-fought match also saw Copeland pay homage to John Cena, hitting both a Five Knuckle Shuffle and an Attitude Adjustment.

Any celebration was cut short, however. The arrival of Kip Sabian, Nick Wayne, and Mother Wayne on the entrance ramp created a key distraction. This allowed FTR’s Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler to ambush the victors from behind, handcuffing a helpless Copeland to the ropes.

With Copeland forced to watch, FTR turned their attention to Phoenix. She refused to back down and threw punches, but the numbers game was too much. Harwood and Wheeler then laid her out with their signature spike piledriver in the middle of the ring.

During the post-show media scrum, Tony Khan addressed the attack. He praised Phoenix’s appearance but lamented how the night concluded for her.

“Oh yes, Beth Copeland was awesome. But I will say that, you know, it was great to see her, but I don’t think any of us wanted to see it go the way that it did for her. It could’ve been a really nice night for Copeland and Christian but it did end on a relatively sour note. I think there’s still a lot of animosity between those men and now with Beth as well,” Khan stated.
