Looks like the grass isn’t always greener outside Stamford. WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H dropped a major bombshell during the Wrestlepalooza pre-show, claiming his phone is constantly buzzing with messages from wrestlers at other companies looking for a spot.
The Game laid it all out with a very direct statement about the interest from outside talent.
“Not a day goes by that I don’t get a text saying either ‘I wanna come home’ or ‘I’ve never been there, is there an opportunity for me there?’ ‘I’m overseas now, I have this long left on my deal.’”
These comments are particularly interesting given the massive roster overhaul WWE has undergone in 2025. The company has released around 40 performers this year, including main roster fixtures like Braun Strowman, Dakota Kai, and former women’s tag team champions Katana Chance and Kayden Carter.
The developmental brand wasn’t spared either, with promising NXT talents like Cora Jade and Gigi Dolin being shown the door back in May.
This talent exodus comes as franchise player John Cena has announced his plans to retire at the end of the year to pursue his Hollywood career full-time.
So, while WWE’s locker room has seen a revolving door of departures, Triple H’s promo sends a clear message: for every star heading out, there’s a line of talent from other promotions eager to get in.
