WWE just dropped a candid video showing Chief Content Officer Triple H getting misty-eyed backstage during Saturday’s Wrestlepalooza. The Game was seen wiping away tears as he watched the monumental announcement unfold on a monitor.
The powerful moment came as The Undertaker, riding his motorcycle as the “American Badass,” made an unannounced appearance in the crowd. The Phenom revealed that Stephanie McMahon is the first official inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2026.
Stephanie was visibly stunned by the news, a reaction her husband later confirmed was completely genuine.
During the post-show presser for the company’s first-ever premium live event on ESPN, The Cerebral Assassin mentioned that the induction took his wife by complete surprise. He even joked that Stephanie wasn’t happy with him for it and that he was now looking for a lawyer.
The honor caps a legendary, multi-faceted career for the former WWF Women’s Champion, who began her corporate journey with the company back in 1998.
Despite stepping down from her role as Chief Brand Officer in 2023, the woman Triple H married in a real-life extension of an on-screen angle in 2003 has continued to make sporadic appearances. The official induction is scheduled to take place during WrestleMania weekend in Las Vegas in April 2026.
