New Details Emerge Regarding the End of Jey Uso’s Wrestlepalooza Match

A scary moment unfolded at Saturday’s Wrestlepalooza during The Usos’ tag team match against The Vision’s Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, resulting in a legitimate injury to Jey Uso.

The incident occurred when a steel chair spot went horribly wrong. Jey attempted to strike Breakker, but the chair ricocheted off his opponent’s back and struck him directly in the head, leaving him legitimately busted open.

According to a report from Fightful Select, there was no blood intended for the spot. This corroborates an earlier report from Bryan Alvarez, who stated that Jey Uso has since been placed in WWE’s concussion protocol.

“Jey busted himself open, he hit Bron with the chair and it bounced off Bron’s back and split him six ways from Sunday,” Alvarez reported. “He’s in concussion protocol, which is a requirement after any injury like this.”

The aftermath of the botched move was visible on-screen, as a clearly unsteady Jey prompted special guest referee LA Knight to audibly call for the match to end. Bron Breakker quickly delivered a Spear to secure the pinfall, giving The Vision the victory after Bronson Reed had already hit his Tsunami splash.

Hours after the event, Jey took to Instagram to provide an update for his fans. Despite posting a photo that clearly showed the bloody aftermath of the injury, his caption assured everyone that he was doing “good.”
