With the No Mercy Premium Live Event just days away, tonight’s episode of WWE NXT is set to be a pivotal stop for the brand. While the card already features a champion-versus-champion clash, the heated rivalry between Lexis King and Myles Borne remains a major focal point. WWE has now clarified how their grudge match will be presented on the go-home broadcast.
Hours before airtime, WWE announced on social media that the Lights Out match between King and Borne will open tonight’s episode of NXT. The company stated: “The Lights Out Match between @mylesborne_wwe and @LexisKingWWE will KICK OFF #WWENXT tonight!”
This stipulation marks the fourth televised singles encounter in a feud that began in July. The series currently favors Borne 2–1, with wins on the June 24 and August 5 episodes of NXT. King closed the gap with a Blindfold match victory on August 26, keeping tensions high ahead of this decisive chapter.
While King vs. Borne will set the tone, the rest of the card is equally loaded. The broadcast features a Winner-Takes-All match between NXT Champion Oba Femi and TNA World Champion Trick Williams, as well as the finals of the WWE Women’s Speed Championship Tournament, with Candice LeRae facing Lainey Reid.
The show airs live at 8 PM ET on The CW Network from the WWE Performance Center and is also slated to include an appearance by NASCAR drivers Cole Custer and Sam Mayer.
