Masha Slamovich’s scheduled TNA Knockouts Championship match at Victory Road has been canceled (via Ringside News). TNA Wrestling has pulled her from Friday’s pay-per-view and launched an internal investigation following allegations of domestic abuse made by her ex-partner, AKIRA.
The situation escalated Tuesday when a friend of the independent wrestler posted alleged text messages and images of injuries online. In a lengthy statement, AKIRA—real name Alexander Atkisson—claimed he attempted suicide multiple times during the relationship, describing a damaging dynamic where he was allegedly told he was “never doing enough.”
One leaked screenshot, attributed to Slamovich, reportedly read: “You cursed at me — that’s why you got hit. Again, cool to see you claim intelligence and can’t see metaphor.” The texts also allegedly show Slamovich blaming AKIRA for her actions in what was described as an attempt to gaslight him.
In response, TNA removed all references to the planned championship match between Slamovich and Ash by Elegance from its official website. The company confirmed to The Takedown on Sports Illustrated that a formal review is underway, stating: “We take any allegations like this very seriously, and have begun an internal investigation.”
The fallout has already reached the independent circuit. West Coast Pro announced Slamovich’s removal from its October 5 show in Portland. The situation also provides context for her recent absence from an NXT episode featuring Ash by Elegance in the ongoing TNA invasion storyline.
