Trick Williams, the current TNA World Champion and two-time NXT Champion, has made his ambitions for a main roster spot clear. Speaking on Booker T’s Hall of Fame show, the man Triple H recently identified as a top NXT prospect alongside Oba Femi and Sol Ruca didn’t hold back about his future.
When asked about his timeline, Williams was emphatic:
“Yesterday could have been soon enough man. I’ve been ready to make that jump to the red or blue brand for a long time. I feel like it’s that time, I feel like it’s been that time. I feel like people wanna see that. But as for now, wherever I am, I’m just gonna make sure it’s the hottest show.”
His comments add weight to an already impressive run, which has seen him hold championships in both NXT and TNA since his debut in late 2021. Despite a recent title vs. title match with Oba Femi where neither belt changed hands, Williams is clearly eyeing Raw or SmackDown as his next step. His résumé, which includes an NXT North American Championship reign and two stints as NXT Champion, underscores his confidence.
Williams’ urgency contrasts with the outlook of Sol Ruca, another of Triple H’s handpicked prospects. On Tuesday, the NXT Women’s North American and WWE Speed Women’s Champion said she is “completely content” in NXT. Known for her Sol Snatcher finisher, Ruca explained that while the main roster is a goal, she trusts the company’s timing and feels she still has “so much more to learn.”
