Top AEW Star Returns On Dynamite After Months Away

Orange Cassidy returned to All Elite Wrestling on Wednesday’s Dynamite after six months away with injury. He was revealed as the mystery partner for The Conglomeration’s Mark Briscoe and Hologram in a six-man tag against the Don Callis Family. The comeback took place in Pittsburgh, where Cassidy broke through a “masterpiece” painting commissioned by Don Callis.

The Conglomeration faced Unified Champion Kazuchika Okada, Konosuke Takeshita, and Hechicero. The match ended with Cassidy hitting an Orange Punch on Hechicero, allowing Hologram to score the pin with a spinning sitout powerbomb.

This was Cassidy’s first match since March 2025, when he competed in an AEW International Championship eliminator tournament. He had been sidelined with a severe shoulder injury, reported as both a torn pectoral muscle and a torn labrum that required surgery. The six-man tag was only his eighth match of the year.

Cassidy’s return had been teased by Mark Briscoe after his win over MJF at All Out. While no specific direction was laid out for Cassidy post-match, a new storyline emerged with his partner. TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher appeared after the bout to challenge the undefeated Hologram (34-0) to a title match on next week’s Dynamite.
