WWE Legend Reveals Surprising Goal Before Retirement

TNA World Tag Team Champion Jeff Hardy has expressed his desire to win the WWE NXT Tag Team Championships, calling the titles a key goal before the end of his career. The ambition is possible through the current cross-promotional partnership between TNA and WWE, which has already featured The Hardy Boyz on NXT programming.

During an appearance on the I Love Wrestling Podcast, Hardy revealed he had envisioned an NXT run long before the storyline began. He then made clear his championship aspirations for the brand.

“Over a year ago, if not two years ago, I kinda was meditating and manifesting the thought of us showing up in NXT, and sure enough, that eventually happened. Definitely for me, to be the NXT Champions is on my list of things to accomplish.”

Hardy’s goal ties directly into ongoing backstage discussions regarding the TNA invasion angle on NXT. According to Fightful Select, both Matt and Jeff Hardy have been pitched for involvement in the storyline, which would significantly escalate the cross-promotional conflict.

Plans reportedly call for the angle to continue well beyond TNA’s upcoming Bound For Glory pay-per-view. With a November taping scheduled in Orlando but no venue confirmed, speculation suggests the company may film content at the WWE Performance Center. Reports also indicate some TNA talent was intentionally held back from the initial invasion, leaving space for major additions.

The Hardy Boyz remain one of wrestling’s most accomplished teams, now in their third reign as TNA World Tag Team Champions. Their legacy includes title runs in WWE, WCW, and ROH, leaving the NXT Tag Team Championship as one of the few major accolades missing from their record.
